About NCCI (the National Correct Coding Initiative)
The National Correct Coding Initiative was devloped by the Centers for Medicare & Medicade Services to promote methods for correct coding and control improper coding. It's goal is to assure medical professionals are paid correctly for the procedures performed by assuring that submitted codes related properly.
The CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicade Services) release updates on a regular basis which we use to provide our customers with accurate and timely services.
The policies developed by the CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicade Services) use the CPT Manual from the Americal Medical Association and combines principles from national medical societies, standard practices, local policies and edits, and analyzes coding practices to develope their guidelines and tables. Payers and Payees can then use these tables to assure that procedure to procedure (PTP) edits are processed accurately.
CCIedits.com is dedicated to providing tools to make accessing and using the NCCI data easy, quick, and accurate.
